Nagpur the city famous for the oranges so that it sometime also known as Orange City.

The Nagpur city is the third largest city in Maharashtra state and it is the winter capital of Maharashtra. And it is fifth fastest growing city in the world as per Oxford Economics Report.

Also it is becoming one of the smart cities in Maharashtra.

The city get its name from the famous river that is Nag River, so that it is known as the Nagpur. Also in the Marathi language "Nag" means snake and "pur" means place.

Nagpur city sometime also referred as Deekshabhoomi because Nagpur city has the largest hollow stupa of Buddhist stupas in the world.

Moving towards the history of Nagpur, the city was founded in 1703 by Bakht Buland Shah. After the passage of time it comes under the Bhonsale dynasty.

Futala Lake

Futala Lake is located at a few distance from the Nagpur main city. It was built by Bhonsle king of Nagpur.

The sitting and Ambiance of the place is good. Person of any age can enjoy here. It has very beautiful look all around.

It is surrounded by greenery. It is favorite place for couple and nature lovers. Anyone can visit this place at anytime.

At evening snacks and food stalls are available. Here you can also find chaupati mostly at evening time. Many restaurants & street-food stalls along the shore.

Here you will experience a pleasant and fresh feel.

You can spend some time with your colleague. Beautiful Sunset is worth a watch. There are many roadsider vendors. The place is full of families and couples at weekends.

It is a great picturesque place for the nature lovers.

One can celebrates birthday and mini parties. It's a lively place to have fun and some moments. Some prank video also shot here. Sometime here stunt performed by motorcyclist.

Climate at Futala Lake : Summers are extremely hot, lasting from March to June(40°C- 50°C).
