Ambazari lake, Nagpur Overview
Ambazari lake is one of the biggest
lake in the Nagpur. Ambazari Garden is spread over the 18 acres of land. It is
very popular place in Nagpur. The name Ambazari is
Marathi word. In Marathi language Amba means mango. As the lake is surrounded
by mango trees it known as Ambazari.
At entrance of gate there
are chana-murmura and ice-cream and sugarcane juice .A huge Giraffe model
welcome you at the entrance of the garden. It is loved picturesque tourist
spot.
At the back of Garden
there is a water lake which is the favorite place. Ambazari lake is attached to
the garden so it is known as Ambazari Garden.
If you want to get out of
crowed then the place is right for you. The garden provides a jubilant and
refreshing feelings.
The garden is well
maintained and it is a place for family outgoing with children’s. Children's
playground is available inside the garden. Children can enjoy a lot.

History of Ambazari Lake
Ambazari Lake built in
1870 at the time of Bhonsle ruler. Initially the lake was developed for water
supply to the city but due to pollution in the water it has now ceased. After
years the Ambazari Garden was established in 1958.
Things To Do at Ambazari Lake and Garden
- It is good place for spending 3-4 hours.
